With over 26 years of executive management, consulting, and IT systems experience, Mr. Maches leads Noblemen Group's IT consulting and integration services practice. Mr. Maches has extensive experience in planning, organizing and managing the integration of enterprise-wide IT systems with both private and public companies of all sizes.
Prior to joining Noblemen Group, his most recent position was Director of Information Technology for Pfizer's R&D division.
While at Pfizer, Bruce was an integral part of Pfizer's merger efforts. For the Pfizer - Warner Lambert merger, he was responsible for all integration activities related to the Finance, Procurement, Resource Management, Budgeting, and Reporting systems on a global basis. This involved the integration and deployment of the management systems required to guide and support a 4 billion dollar, 13,000 employee organization. Bruce worked directly with the divisional CFO to set strategy and priorities for the integration efforts. This effort consisted of over a dozen major projects utilizing nearly 500 employees and consultants, and was budgeted at over $50 million. For the Pfizer - Pharmacia integration effort he worked as part of the Business Management support group providing logistical support to the integration effort. This dealt with such areas as financial management and support, asset management, software licensing, consultant logistics, and application training.
Previously, as CIO of Aztec Shops he was responsible for all aspects of the MIS function and managed all vendor and personnel related activities for the development, network, operations, and support groups. He was a member of the Aztec Shops Board and chair of the MIS Steering Committee.
As a senior consultant for IBM's Global Services Division, Bruce was involved in major ERP system deployments for such companies as Lucent Technologies, Crown Central Petroleum, IKON Office Solutions, and Kubota Tractor.
Bruce was also a founding partner and vice-president of a San Diego based consulting practice where he was responsible for day-to-day management of the firm. He also provided strategic and IT-related consulting services to such companies as Eli Lilly, Guidant, and IVAC Corporate (now Alaris Medical).
Mr. Maches earned a BS in Business from San Diego State University, and is a certified SAP consultant.
Bruce lives in San Diego with his wife of 19 years and twin teen-age daughters. He enjoys skiing, reading, playing guitar, spending time with his family, and in his spare time is learning the game of golf. |
