Mr. McDonald started his career with Ernst & Young. In 1987, Mr. McDonald joined Varity Corporation. From 1993 through 1998, Mr. McDonald held a variety of operational finance positions with Varity in the United Kingdom. In 1998, he was appointed vice president, finance, legal and IT of Lucas Varity Automotive in Livonia, Michigan, which was subsequently acquired by TRW, Inc. He held a variety of financial positions of increasing responsibility at TRW where he became vice president, finance of TRW Automotive. Mr. McDonald joined Johnson Controls in November 2001 as vice president, corporate controller and became assistant chief financial officer in 2004. He was appointed vice president and chief financial officer in 2005 and executive vice president in 2006.
Awards, Recognition and Service: Mr. McDonald is treasurer for the Columbia St. Mary's Foundation and serves as a member of the audit and corporate responsibility committee for Columbia St. Mary's, Inc. in Milwaukee. Mr. McDonald is also a member of the board of trustees and chairman of the audit committee of the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Education: Mr. McDonald received a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant. |
