Mr. Beers joined IBM in Burlington, Vermont as an engineer in the product characterization organization. From 1988 to1992, he managed IBM�s VLSI Electronic Design Automation (EDA) developing the advanced toolset that differentiates IBM�s ASIC products. In 1994, Mr. Beers was named Director of ASIC Products at IBM Microelectronics Division in Burlington, Vermont. Under Mr. Beers� leadership, the ASICs organization in Burlington became one of the industry leaders in providing ASIC products and customer service and grew to more than $1B in revenue. In recognition of the ASIC success, Mr. Beers was named Vice President in 1998.
