Mr. Ware is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Sandbox, Inc. Mr. Ware is the lead designer and chief scientist in the development of Digital Sandbox's patented terrorist risk algorithms, the Site Profiler� security risk management product line, and the underlying predictive analytics platform. Mr. Ware has worked on a variety of security and risk management related programs in the US and overseas with corporations and federal, state, and local governments. He possesses a unique combination of scientific and analytical expertise, in the field security experience, and entrepreneurial skills. An expert in the science of risk assessment, he has a diverse background in the development of advanced technologies including artificial intelligence, sensors, distributed simulations, and software architectures.
For over a decade, Mr. Ware has led the development of advanced technologies that address the threat of terrorist attacks and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) with innovative technology solutions, often years ahead of their time. Among his unique experiences are developing algorithms for unmanned aerial vehicles (1993); designed and ran an early GIS-based natural disaster response system for the Director of Military Support in the Pentagon (1994); developed the first Web-based medical response system for WMD events for the US Army Surgeon General (1994); developed the first terrorism response training programs for first responders under the Domestic Preparedness Program (1997), and designed the patented risk analytics system that powers Site Profiler (1999). Recently, Mr. Ware has worked with the national security community on intelligence fusion and risk assessment projects ranging from bio-terrorism threats, military vulnerabilities, infrastructure protection, and counter-drug trafficking. He is currently an expert for a national security panel on threats to the financial markets. Following the anthrax attacks of 2001, Mr. Ware was a key member of a national security expert panel on biological terrorism risk assessment.
A frequent speaker on security and analytical risk management, Mr. Ware has recently presented at the Society of Actuaries / Casualty Actuarial Society Enterprise Risk Management Conference, the Professional Risk Managers' International Association panel on Enterprise Risk, the Conference Board's Business Continuity and Crisis Management Conference, the UTC SCADA Security Conference, the Council on Competitiveness' Symposium on Business and Economic Security, and the Conference Board's Corporate Preparedness, Security, and Response Conference. Mr. Ware has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Optics from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. |
