Bryan Doo is entering his fifth season as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Boston Celtics. He was named to the position on August 3, 2003. Prior to joining the Celtics, Doo founded Optimal Fitness: Professionals in Health and Human Performance in Waltham, MA, which specializes in-home personal training, speed and agility camps for high school and collegiate athletes, post physical therapy and management of corporate fitness facilities. Doo has consulted and trained various NHL, Olympic and elite athletes. He also served as the Wellness Director at the Harvard Business School from 1998-2001, and a coach at Harvard University. Doo is a frequent and eloquent speaker regarding sports & athletic development, injury prevention and team training at local and national conferences. Doo earned his bachelors degree in Sports and Exercise Science in 1995 from Messiah College in Pennsylvania, while also minoring in Business. He holds his Master?s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the National Academy of Sports Medicine and American College of Sports Medicine. He currently resides in Waltham, MA with his wife Brianna, his dog Bella and cat Ichiro. |
