Vista Lyons represents employers in multi-state employment litigation matters. Her litigation experience includes defending employers against state and federal employment �related claims involving alleged violations of Title VII, FMLA and ADA; wrongful denial of ERISA benefits; wrongful discharge; and breach of employment contracts and non-compete agreements. She also counsels management on multi-state and international employment practice issues. Vista prepares and reviews harassment training programs for managers and employees, personnel handbooks, policies and procedures, reduction-in-force plans and union avoidance plans. She also analyzes federal and multi-state wage and hour matters. Prior to joining Ford & Harrison, Vista served as counsel at a general practice firm in Dallas, Texas. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Employment Law Section and the Dallas Bar Association where she served as Director (2004 and 2005). She is also a member of the J.L. Turner Legal Association (President, 2005) and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. Vista is admitted to practice before the State Bar of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. During law school, Vista was awarded the Dean�s Achievement Award in Corporate and Securities Law; named Champion and Best Brief: The National Products Liability Moot Court Competition; and, was the recipient of The Lucy M. Moore Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Law.
