Burley C. Semones has worked with LE since 2001, currently serving as Director of Power Electronics. Prior to working with LE, Semones spent thirty-three years providing technical support and leadership to the Kollmorgen Corporation where he created electromagnetic designs of torque motors, tachometers and servomotors. Semones served as vice president of research and development for Kollmorgen where he coordinated all product development activities among domestic and foreign sites. He also specialized in designing a variety of motor types including high power density, submersibles with built-in electronics, slotless and other topologies with a variety of high-energy magnets.Burley is also founder and president of MTM Consulting, a practice specializing in engineering and technology solutions located in Roanoke, Virginia. The firm has been in operation since 1999. MTM Consulting has grown into a highly regarded solution provider where clients can receive support on activities such as motor technology evaluation, competitive analysis, motor and generator prototyping, special motor test and analysis, technical conference design and leadership, power and control electronics design coordination, technology evaluation and marketing reports production. Burley is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and The University of the State of New York where he obtained degrees in electrical engineering technology. |
