Butch Bell has been with Southern Progress Corporation and its parent company, Time Inc., for more than 25 years. After receiving a bachelor of science degree in accounting, he began his career with Southern Progress as an accountant in magazine and book customer service. He became Controller and was later promoted to Manager of Fulfillment and then Vice President of Fulfillment. In that role, Butch presided over an office that processed more than 22 million pieces of mail and answered 1.5 million phone calls annually. In 1989, he moved to Time Inc. to help establish the company's catalog division. His responsibilities there included software acquisition, customer service, and warehousing and distribution. He worked with such clients as Warner Music Enterprises, Martha Stewart Living, Sports Illustrated, Warner Brothers Catalogs, and Rhino Music. Butch returned to Southern Progress in 1998 to assume the position of Vice President of Operations for Customer Service. Today, he oversees Consultant Support, warehousing and distribution, inventory management, and software development for Southern Living At HOME. |
