Caress has responsibility for assuring that Career Blazers remains one of the premier staffing companies in the Northeast. During her tenure, she has introduced best practices to the company, which include pre-assignment training for temporaries, and sophisticated client reporting, which enable our customers to make strategic decisions about the use of contingent resources. Caress has been responsible for driving the significant growth of the company with the acquisitions of new client relationships.Prior to joining Career Blazers, she served as Senior Vice President of National Accounts at COMSYS and Senior VP of Marketing. COMSYS is one of the largest Information Technology staffing companies in America. While at COMSYS, she developed VendorOne, an onsite vendor management system for the IT Industry, which became COMSYS� most successful program.Previously, Ms. Kennedy spent 6 years with Norrell Corporation, a $1.4 billion staffing, outsourcing and professional services company. She held positions as Vice President and General Manager and Market Vice President. At Norrell, Ms. Kennedy sold and managed some of Norrell's largest accounts like Prudential and Ernst & Young.Prior to joining Norrell, Caress worked as a Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Thomson Financial Services. Before joining Thomson Ms. Kennedy held a number of positions of increasing responsibility for Xerox, Western Union and AT&T. Ms. Kennedy earned an MBA from Pace University in New York. She also holds a BA degree in Communication Arts from Fordham University, Bronx, New York and an AAS in Advertising and Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, New York. She completed the Executive Development Consortium for Senior Managers at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.Ms. Kennedy was selected as the Xerox Corporation's member of the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers out of field of 40,000 female Xerox employees. She has been a registered broker dealer with the NASDAQ and SEC, held licenses in Life, Health and Accident and Securities sales, served as a faculty member at New York University and sat on the boards of the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers and the YWCA of New York. Caress is currently the President of the Metro Chapter of the New York Staffing Association. |
