Carl A. DeWilde, 60, is executive vice president of global sales and strategy at Tellabs. In this role, DeWilde has global responsibility for Tellabs� sales, marketing, services and strategy. Previously, DeWilde was executive vice president of broadband products at Tellabs. He also served as executive vice president of access products at Tellabs. Prior to joining Tellabs in 2004, DeWilde was chief operating officer and then chief technology officer for Xtera Communications, where he set corporate strategy and launched new products. From 1992 to 2000, he served as senior vice president of development for Fujitsu Network Communications. While at Fujitsu, DeWilde built a multi-site engineering team and developed transport data and access solutions. He also held senior leadership positions at Alcatel, with responsibilities in transport, digital cross-connects and access, and at Siemens, where he built an engineering team that developed transport equipment. DeWilde holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Hogeschool Zeeland in the Netherlands. Tellabs advances telecommunications networks to meet the evolving needs of users.
