Mr. Tiedemann is the founder of Tiedemann Investment Group, a privately held investment partnership established in 1980. He serves as Director to a number of companies associated with Tiedemann Investment Group. Prior to founding Tiedemann Investment Group, Mr. Tiedemann had been with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette for eighteen years, serving as President (1975-1980) and Chairman of DLJ Securities (1966-1974), and remained as a Director of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette until 1985. Mr. Tiedemann served on the Board of Governors of the American Stock Exchange and served on many committees of the Securities Industry Association.
Mr. Tiedemann has served as Director to many companies, including Lexington Management Corporation, a mutual fund management company (1994-2000); Piedmont Management Company, a large publicly traded reinsurance company (1981-1993); Kleinwort Benson Mutual Funds, a large London-based asset management firm (1988-1992); Curtice Burns, a large food processing company (1974-1992); Nikko Securities International, a major Japanese investment banking firm (1984-1990); National Medical Care, the largest U.S. kidney dialysis company (1975-1982); and Dillon Read Equity Fund, a New York based mutual fund owned by Dillon Read (1987-1991).
Mr. Tiedemann served as a trustee to Allen Stevenson, a secondary school for boys in New York City, from 1972-1991, and to Winrock International, a private Arkansas foundation founded by Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller, from 1975-1982. He currently is on the Advisory Board of the Harvard Medical School.
Mr. Tiedemann was awarded a Master in Science from Columbia Business School, and received his Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College. |
