As the Managing Director of Accel Health, Carl Freis works with a wide range of pharmaceutical clients in diverse therapeutic categories. He combines strategic competencies gained from 10 years experience in medical education and the business acumen developed from 8 years in finance.
Freis has implemented strategic partner relationships with multiple product management groups and developed new tactics and methods of implementation. In the beginning of the then-evolving disease category of HIV/AIDS, he recognized the need for effective healthcare provider education and subsequently developed all GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) forthcoming initiatives, including resistance- and community-focused programs. He successfully implemented original programs using clear marketing objectives while staying within time and budget constraints.
Prior to joining Accel Health, Freis was a Vice President and Director of Client Services at World Health. Internally, he managed the Account Services Group while maintaining multiple GSK accounts and overseeing Berlex and Galderma initiatives. Before World Health, Freis was an Account Supervisor at Phase Five Communications, managing all aspects of account services for both the Global Transplant Group of F. Hoffmann-La Roche and the Central Nervous System Franchise of Janssen Pharmaceutica Products, LP. In addition, he was a member of the global launch team for the type II diabetes drug developed by SmithKline Beecham. Previously, he worked at NCM Publishers, where he organized international satellite symposia in support of the global marketing efforts of Eli Lilly & Company's Neuroscience Division.
Freis began his professional life as a financial analyst during which time he acted as an analytical liaison between various joint ventures and lending institutions involving millions of dollars. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Houston and an MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. |
