Carl joined NovaGold in January 2005 having spent 15 years as a senior executive with Placer Dome in Chile Costa Rica Venezuela and Canada. He brings a wealth of experience with operations management government relations and project development. Carl's positions within the Placer Dome Group (PDG) included President Minera Las Cristinas President PDG Costa Rica and Mine General Manager Minera Mantos de Oro. Most recently he was General Manager of Minera Zaldivar in Antofagasta Chile during the design construction and initial operation of the world-class Zaldivar mine. Carl is responsible for engineering environmental and government relations pertaining to the Galore Creek project. He holds a B.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from Queen's University. |
