Since December of 1996, Carol McKey Matheny has served as Assistant Controller of Parkway Properties, bringing with her five years of accounting experience, four of which were in public accounting. Her responsibilities as assistant controller include supervision of a portion of the accounting department, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission and analytical review. She is also heavily involved in the implementation and maintenance of the company's property management and accounting systems.
Carol graduated in 1991 from Mississippi College with a double major in accounting and computer science. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Technology Professional, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. Carol worked with both Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen with an emphasis in accounting software. |
