Catherine A. Allen is the founding Chief Executive Officer of BITS, a nonprofit, CEO-driven industry consortium whose members are 100 of the largest financial institutions in the United States. Ms. Allen also is the founder of The Santa Fe Group, a strategic consulting firm providing expertise to financial services and other critical infrastructure companies.
A leader for 30 years in technology and financial services, Ms. Allen served in several senior executive positions at Citicorp in the retail, bankcards and corporate technology divisions. Prior to joining Citibank, Ms. Allen served as director of corporate planning for Dun and Bradstreet. She was also a consultant to CBS Inc. on new technologies and international trade.
Ms. Allen sits on a number of for-profit and nonprofit boards, including the Financial Services Technology Consortium (FSTC), the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC), the Identity Theft Assistance Center (ITAC), the Electronification of Authentication Partnership (EAP), Giesecke & Devrient, Stewart Title Guaranty Company, NBS Technologies and Hudson Ventures. She is chair of the Advisory Council for the National Foundation for Credit Counseling.
In May 2005, Ms. Allen received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the University of Missouri, recognizing her professional achievements in financial services and technology. |
