Catherine Ballard is a partner in the Bricker & Eckler health care department with a practice focusing on the day-to-day operations of a variety of health care facilities as well as those facilities' dealings with administrative agencies and court proceedings. She works with clients in the areas of medical staff credentialing; quality assessment/improvement and peer review; physician recruitment and contract negotiations; development of compliance programs, allied health professional credentialing and policies; developing and implementing managed care systems; and general patient care issues. She has written articles, spoken, and prepared amicus curiae briefs on behalf of professional organizations in both federal and state courts on a number of these issues. Her clients include hospitals, managed care organizations, group practices, individual health care practitioners, and health care related professional associations.
