Chad Coombs is a Shareholder in the firm's Los Angeles office and a member of both the Business Practices Group and Real Estate Practice Group, specializing in Tax. Mr. Coombs is experienced in representing clients on federal, state and local tax issues in business and real estate transactions and insolvency matters. He has advised clients in low income housing, historic and new markets tax credit transactions, business sales and liquidations, and real estate investments and debt workouts.

Mr. Coombs is Chair of the Editorial Board for Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine. He served as the Articles Coordinator for the previous year, and he is a Planning Committee Member for the University of Southern California Tax Institute.
Mr. Coombs received his B.S. in Accounting from California State University, Hayward in 1982 and earned his J.D. at the University of Southern California in 1991, where he served as Editor in Chief of Major Tax Planning. He also earned his M.B.A. from the University of Washington in 1983 and a Master of Business Taxation at the University of Southern California in 2000. Mr. Coombs is also a CPA, receiving his license in California in 2002.
