Charles A. Postler heads up the Firm's transactional practice while also making regular bankruptcy court appearances. He specializes in negotiating and drafting complex documents, including asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, real estate documentation, debtor in possession loan documents, plans of reorganization and disclosure statements. Mr. Postler was born in Newark, New Jersey and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1984. He is a graduate of Spring Hill College, BS summa cum laude, 1978, and the University of Florida, JD, with honors, 1984, where he served as Chief Tax Editor of the University of Florida Law Review from 1983 to 1984. His case comment was selected for publication by the University of Florida Law Review. Mr. Postler joined the firm as a partner in December 1991, after working eight years with the law firm of Fowler, White, Gillen, Boggs, Villareal and Banker, P.A. located in Tampa, Florida, where he was a partner at the time of his departure. During his tenure with the Fowler, White law firm, he specialized in securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporation and banking law. While at Fowler, White, he served as co-counsel with the Stichter, Riedel law firm in the Trust America bankruptcy case. Mr. Postler has worked extensively in the Linc.net, Inc., Bicoastal Corporation, Lykes Steamship and American Ship Building Company representations. He has headed the firm's representation of Viasource Communications, Inc., Doctors' Hospital of Tampa, Ltd., Center for Independent Living, Total World Telecommunications, Inc. and U.S. Plastic Lumber Corp. He is a member of the Corporation, Banking and Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, The Florida Bar, the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
