Mr. Hoffman joined the board of directors in April of 2006 bringing more than 30 years of telecom and broadband experience in the wireless, cable, local and long-distance sectors. He is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Covad and since joining in 2001 has successfully transformed Covad into a leading nationwide provider of broadband voice and data communications. Prior to Covad, Mr. Hoffman was President and Chief Executive Officer of Rogers AT&T; under his leadership, the company grew from fourth to first place. Prior to Rogers, Mr. Hoffman served as President, Northeast Region, for Sprint PCS, its largest U.S. region. Preceding Sprint PCS, Mr. Hoffman spent 16 years at SBC Communications in various senior management positions, including Managing Director-Wireless for SBC International. Mr. Hoffman received a bachelor of science and a master of business administration from University of Missouri, St. Louis. |
