Charlie Dusic, a Certified Public Accountant, has a well-rounded background that includes experience in public accounting, broadcasting, including radio and television properties, and human resources administration. He was the first employee hired by West Virginia Media in November 2001.
Mr. Dusic earned a BBA from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. His initial work experience was with KPMG Peat Marwick, an international accounting firm, in their Austin, Texas, office. While working for KPMG, Mr. Dusic was promoted to Audit Manager within four and one-half years of employment. He moved back to West Virginia to start a family and while living in West Virginia has served as a Manager for the CPA firms of Arnett & Foster and more recently with Simpson & Osborne, both headquartered in Charleston, West Virginia. During his public accounting career, Mr. Dusic has served a number of clients including clients specializing in broadcasting, manufacturing, insurance, health care, technology and government. He served as a member of the GFOA Special Review Committee for the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting for Governmental Entities, and has served on various committees for the West Virginia Society for CPAs.
Mr. Dusic has also served as controller and human resources director in the broadcast industry with West Virginia Radio Corporation over seeing 15 radio stations and a state-wide news network. He is a member of the Broadcast Cable financial Managers Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. |
