Mr. Jarik is a partner in the Public Finance Department of Chapman and Cutler LLP, and has worked virtually exclusively in the field of public finance since 1978 when he joined the firm. He acts as bond counsel, counsel to the underwriter or purchaser, special tax counsel and special counsel to the issuer on a variety of public financings in many states, including general obligation financings, utility revenue obligation financings, special assessments, tollway financings, industrial development revenue bond financings, qualified 501(c)(3) revenue bond financings, single family mortgage revenue bond financings and restructurings, multifamily housing revenue bond financings, exempt facility financings (including airports, water supply facilities, sewerage and solid waste facilities), tax increment bond financings, bond bank financings, special pooled financings, stadium and arena financings, and other types of public financings, including unsecured, secured and credit-enhanced public and private offerings. He has also been involved in the structuring and operations of Section 529 college savings programs. Mr. Jarik also served on the Infrastructure Committee for the transition team for Illinois Gov. George H. Ryan.
