Charles Snow is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Snow Becker Krauss P.C. He concentrates in corporate law, federal and state securities laws, and regulatory matters and enforcement proceedings by the Securities Exchange Commission, Stock Exchanges and United States Attorneys. Mr. Snow is admitted to practice law in the state of New York, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He received a B.A. degree from the University of Vermont (1954) and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School (1959), where he was associate editor in chief of the Law Review. He served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Bureau of Securities of the New York State Department of Law and Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York through 1961. In 1961, Mr. Snow was appointed trial counsel for enforcement matters at the Securities and Exchange Commission, New York Regional Office and was later appointed Assistant Regional Administrator. During his SEC tenure, Mr. Snow worked closely with the enforcement staff in Washington in developing staff policy and he also investigated and tried several significant enforcement actions. In 1968, when Mr. Snow entered private practice, he was regularly involved in defense of SEC enforcement matters, general securities litigation, securities and broker-dealer registration and regulation and general corporate law. Over the years, his practice expanded to include corporate and broker-dealer representation, including Securities and Exchange Commission registration and regulatory matters. In 1977, Mr. Snow became a founding member of the firm. He was a member and Chairman of the Planning Boards of the Towns of Harrison and New Castle for more than 15 years. Mr. Snow also is general counsel to the Security Traders Association of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Member, Committee on Securities Regulation, Section of Banking, Corporation and Business Law). |
