Chickie Bucco is President of Katz Direct a Katz Television Group Company the oldest largest and most successful media representative in the US with billings over $3 billion annually.
In this position Ms. Bucco oversees Direct Response Short Form Program Time Sales Paid Religion and the Unwired Network Group on behalf of more than 400 of Katz Television Group's client stations. Katz Direct Marketing has offices in both New York and Los Angeles.
Ms. Bucco joined Katz in 1979 as a sales executive. She was named a divisional Vice President in 1986. In 1988 Ms. Bucco was given the opportunity to launch the Direct Marketing sales unit where she held the position of Vice President Director. She was promoted to President in 2003.
Chickie is known within the Katz organization and industry as a true mentor. She has demonstrated her strong commitment to teaching and leadership programs through many contributions including Career Day speaker in NYC public high schools and Principal for a Day at PS 123 in the Bronx. She initiated the first Take Our Daughters To Work Day program for Katz Media Group in 1994 and has continued to direct the program each year. Chickie has also been involved with the USIA (US Information Agency) host program where she mentored women from Communications Industries in six countries.
In addition to her duties with the Katz Television Group Ms. Bucco has been actively involved with American Women in Radio & Television (AWRT) on both local and national levels for more than a decade currently serving on the National Board of Directors as President. She has served on the Board of Directors for the New York Women's Agenda since 1991 and was named President for the organization's 2000-2001 season. |
