Over the last eight years, Mr. Cho has worked as a strategy consultant, product manager and investment associate. He has extensive experience working with both Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial ventures in the telecommunications, software, and healthcare industries. His professional functional experiences include strategic planning, product development, marketing, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Envoy Advisors, Mr. Cho worked as an associate at the Telecommunications Development Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm, where he sourced, reviewed, and recommended investment opportunities. While at TDF, he published a monthly editorial column for TMC, an online trade publication, and performed consulting projects for portfolio companies. Prior to the Telecommunications Development Fund, Mr. Cho worked as a product manager and internal consultant for Inxight Software, a spin-off from the Xerox Corporation. He managed the development of the Enterprise Storage Industry Intelligence product and worked directly with company executives to implement an internal competitive analysis program that facilitated the exchange of strategic information to sales and product development teams. Mr. Cho was a principal and senior project manager at ATLANTIC-ACM, a strategy consulting firm specializing in the telecommunications industry. He led teams on a number of consulting assignments ranging from competitive analysis to business development for many of the leading international telecommunications and Internet firms including AT&T, NTT, British Telecom, Lucent Technologies and America Online. He also authored four public reports on topics including the U.S. Long Distance Services Market and Telecom Mergers and Acquisitions and routinely contributed articles to several industry trade publications. Other independent consulting engagements include projects for the University of Michigan Medical School, KDDI Group, HandSignal, Marketplace Analysts, and BH Consulting. Mr. Cho graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in economics with concentrations in corporate finance and international economics. He also received a MBA degree with distinction honors from the University of Michigan Business School with emphases in general management and corporate strategy. |
