My goal at kajeet is to build a new wireless category that brings families closer together using technology that provides both the parent and the tween with the tools they need to communicate and grow.
I've been involved in telecommunications for more than 14 years, and have watched the market evolve from a tool for a select few to a part of our daily lives. It's one of the most exciting businesses to be involved in, because it impacts so many things we do and provides the means to enhance our lives.
As vice president of sales, I'm responsible for leading and directing the kajeet sales organization, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with our partners. The experience of having held sales and managerial positions with retail and telecommunications industry leaders such as AT&T, Ericsson and Toshiba allows me to use my relationships and understanding of the competitive landscape to position kajeet as a leader in this market.
Prior to those positions, I served as vice president of product development for Wireless Retail, Inc., and before that I was executive director of national accounts for T-Mobile. Most recently, I was part of the management team for InComm, the prepaid and postpaid leader that provides point-of-sale activation services to the largest retailers in the United States.
In my spare time, I love to play golf, both for the competitive nature of the game and for the way it allows one to get to know people, build relationships and help charities. For example, last year my wife and I had the opportunity to work on golf fundraisers for C.A.R.E. (Cancer Awareness Through Research and Education) and Jr. Achievement.
kajeet is all about kids and young teens, and one of my most enduring memories from that time of my own life was the first time I visited the NASA Space Center in Florida. I've visited there three more times since then. Both of my parents were educators, and I've tried to honor their work by speaking with elementary and high school classes about business topics. I believe this is one of the best ways any professional can give something back to the youth of our country. |
