Ms. Pajak is a member of ST&G. She attended Douglass College at Rutgers University, where she received her B.A. in history (with a minor in economics), with high honors, in 1995. She then attended Stanford Law School, where she received her J.D., with honors, in 2001. Ms. Pajak's practice is focused primarily on the representation of creditor and equity committees, as well as operating debtors and strategic purchasers in chapter 11 cases, in venues throughout the country. Her most recent creditor committee representations include two mortgage cases -- Ownit Mortgage Solutions, Inc. (Los Angeles, CA) and USA Capital First Trust Deed Fund, LLC (Las Vegas, NV). With respect to USA Capital, early in the cases, Ms. Pajak spearheaded the effort to seek court approval of interim distributions to members of USA Capital First Trust Deed Fund, LLC ("FTDF") prior to confirmation of a plan of reorganization. In addition, ST&G, along with the FTDF Committee, was actively involved in the sale of substantially all of FTDF's assets. ST&G, on behalf of the FTDF Committee, participated in the negotiation and documentation of the stalking horse bid and was instrumental in obtaining court approval of the auction procedures that governed the sale of the Debtors' assets. Ms. Pajak was critical in these negotiation and documentation efforts. ST&G actively participated in this auction, which resulted in a final bid of $67 million for the Debtors' assets more than a $19 million increase over the initial stalking horse bid. In addition, she has also represented creditor committees in O'Sullivan Industries, Inc. (Atlanta, GA) and Aladdin Gaming, Inc. (Las Vegas, NV) and was involved in the representation of the equity committee in Trump Hotel & Casino Resorts (Camden, NJ). |
