Mr. Scanlan is a partner at Carrington Coleman. His primary practice consists of business litigation matters involving a wide variety of claims, including breach of contract, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, unfair competition, tortious interference, and breach of fiduciary duty. Although he focuses on business litigation matters, Mr. Scanlan has litigated personal injury and professional malpractice lawsuits. He was also part of the team that successfully appealed the constitutionality of a county jail program to the Texas Supreme Court. Mr. Scanlan has represented clients before trial courts and arbitration panels locally, regionally, and nationally. His client base includes companies from a broad range of industries, including aircraft finance, banking, computer software, consumer finance, food distribution, equipment leasing, loan servicing, oil and gas, and telecommunications. In 2005, 2006 and 2007, Mr. Scanlan was named by Texas Monthly magazine as a "Rising Star" in Texas law. Mr. Scanlan was admitted to practice in Texas state courts in 1997. He is also admitted to practice in all federal district courts in Texas and Colorado. |
