Christopher Burdick is a Senior Vice President and Underwriting Counsel at Stewart Title Insurance Company having joined the company in May 2005. Immediately prior to joining STIC, he was a Vice President of First American Title Insurance Company where he was a senior underwriter on national transactions since 1998. Mr. Burdick received a BA, in Economics and History from the University of California at Berkeley . He received his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Maine , Massachusetts , New Jersey and New York . He is Chairman of the Town of Bedford Wetlands Control Commission and has served on that Town's Master Plan Review Committee. Prior to joining First American, Mr. Burdick served as a senior underwriting counsel at Chicago Title Insurance Company. He previously practiced law concentrating in real estate financings, acquisitions, syndications, and leasing. He worked as a senior associate for Wien Malkin & Bettex (now known as Wien & Malkin) and as an associate at Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon. He has lectured and written on various topics concerning title insurance. |
