Chris has over 20 years of experience in the design of industrial robotics and automation systems. BlueShift Technologies is Chris's third start-up company and his 50th robotic systems design project. Chris holds several patents relating to handling and robotic technologies. Prior to BlueShift, Chris served as VP of Engineering at RadioMed where his team designed cyclotron target systems for 14MeV medical irradiation facilities used in the treatment of prostate cancer. Chris worked as Director of Robotics Technology at Brooks Automation where he led engineering teams in the development of robotics for vacuum and atmospheric automation applications. Prior to Brooks he led the development of class 1 clean room robots at semiconductor OEMs ADE and BTU International. Chris was Manager of Mechanical Engineering at Cambridge Robotics, a developer of machine vision systems. At Automatix, an industrial robotics company, Chris developed vision-guided robot systems for various manufacturing applications. Chris has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and a ME in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University. |
