Christopher Maffucci is a partner in the Litigation Department. Mr. Maffucci maintains a general civil litigation practice concentrating in real estate, land use and construction litigation. He represents real estate brokers, developers, contractors and property owners when disputes arise out of real estate transactions, property development or construction contracts. In addition, Mr. Maffucci represents lenders and other creditors in collection matters. He has handled trials and appeals in numerous state and federal courts and has extensive experience in arbitration and mediation. Mr Maffucci is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Casner & Edwards in 2000, Mr. Maffucci practiced with the Philadelphia firm Frey, Petrakis, Deeb & Blum. He also served as an arbitrator with the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Maffucci is a member of Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association and the Real Estate Bar Association. He has advised several non-profit organizations pro bono with respect to their affordable housing programs and the land use issues that arise out of them. He is currently working with a non-profit organization as part of a major affordable housing/artist work-space development initiative in Boston. Mr. Maffucci received his J.D. and B.A., summa cum laude, from Temple University. He also attended Stanford Law School where he was an editor of the Stanford Environmental Law Journal. After graduating from law school, Mr. Maffucci served as an editor of the Rhodes Real Estate Review, a periodical analyzing real property law. |
