As vice president, investment management, Chris Neighbor is responsible for MacFarlane Partners� investments in single-family residential land and housing developments. He reviews and approves prospective investments sourced and underwritten by the firm�s joint venture partner for its single-family residential investment program Weyerhaeuser Realty Investors and works closely with WRI and internal personnel to establish portfolio strategies and monitor the full spectrum of project performance, from land entitlements to the sale of finished homes.Chris has 10 years of real estate experience, during which he has been involved in the acquisition of $400 million in undeveloped land and the development of 5,000 detached homes and attached condominiums/town homes. Prior to joining MacFarlane Partners, he served in various capacities for KB Home, one of the largest home builders in the United States. Most recently, he was vice president of acquisitions, planning and development for KB�s Central Valley (California) division, where he managed a staff of nine that acquired land, obtained necessary entitlements and built single-family housing projects in a three-county area south of Sacramento.Earlier, Chris served as manager of land acquisitions for a KB�s South Bay division, which operates in the San Francisco Bay Area. In that role, he sourced and acquired more than $175 million in land that KB Home later developed as single-family housing. He began his real estate career as a project manager with Valley Development & Construction, a home builder based in Walnut Creek, Calif., where he oversaw residential development projects in the San Francisco Bay Area and Squaw Valley.Chris is a licensed real estate agent in California and a member of the Urban Land Institute. He holds a bachelor�s degree in construction management from California State University, Chico. |
