Christopher Smith is Vice President, Worldwide Services and Support at Ciena Corporation, where he is responsible for the Company's Global Network Services (GNS) organization, including all pre- and post-sales support. Mr. Smith has been instrumental in the creation and growth of Ciena's GNS portfolio to include a broad range of deployment, maintenance and professional services, and in supporting some of the largest, most sophisticated service provider networks in the world, as well as those of cable MSOs, government agencies and a variety of large enterprises.
Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Smith served as Vice President, Global Network Services for Ciena's EMEA operations, and previously as Senior Director, EMEA Services and Support.
Before joining Ciena in 2002, Mr. Smith held various senior operational management positions, including Vice President, Global Service Management at Level 3, Vice President Global Customer Support at Global One and Vice President Customer Service at Sprint. |
