Christopher Spray is a Partner in the technology sector, and invests in software and services companies. He established Atlas Venture's Boston office in 1986 and was responsible for US operations until 1998. Since then he has been based in the firm�s London office, and is currently Chairman of the Management Committee which guides the firm�s overall strategy and business operations. Christopher also has primary responsibility for the firm�s Limited Partner relationships.
Christopher has been an investor and board member in number of successful companies, including OnDisplay, which was acquired by Vignette Corp. (NASDAQ: VIGN) in 2000; and RightPoint Software, which was acquired by e.Piphany (NASDAQ: EPNY) in 1999. He also served on the Board of Business Objects from 1992 to 1994.
He began his venture capital career in 1983 when he joined the firm now known as CINVen, a leading European private equity firm, and subsequently moved to the US in 1985 as Investment Director of CIN Investment Company.
Christopher has an MBA from INSEAD and a BA in English Literature from Oxford University.
