Cindy likes her water with a twist of lime, her movies with a twist in plot, and her press releases with a twist of wit and a splash of dash. For her, words are more fun to play with than Legos! In college, she switched her major from English Composition to Psychology, but upon graduation discovered that working in advertising and sales paid off student loans more quickly than internships or waiting tables. Plus, it was more exciting. She now lavishly applies the best from both academic fields, along with over two decades of experience in marketing, advertising and sales, to every PR endeavor she undertakes. After 9 years in print advertising, Cindy switched gears and opened her private practice as a hypnotherapist. She continued that entrepreneurial endeavor for 10 years, gaining valuable first-hand insight into the challenges business owners and executives face in promoting and running a successful organization. During that time, she also led hypnotherapy classes at UT, while developing a deep respect for the power of words on human perception and thinking. Later, she joined Dun & Bradstreet, providing risk management solutions to businesses. She also served as Board President of The Isis Institute of Womens Studies, an Austin non-profit organization. This kaleidoscope of experience brings a depth of understanding to her projects and results in clearly communicated, powerfully worded, and perfectly pitched media coverage for her clients. When not wordsmithing, Cindy enjoys walks through Hill Country parks and greenbelts, cycling, traveling abroad and frolicking with the three furry felines that generously share their house with her. |
