Clarence is responsible for advising the region's financial performance, leading the region's participation global finance initiatives and coordinating initiatives to ensure profit maximisation in Asia pacific. Prior to joining InterContinental Hotels Group, Clarence was the Hotel Manager of Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor, Siem Reap in Cambodia.
He has 8 years of experience in the hospitality industry. During his tenure with Raffles International he held several positions, one of which was the Corporate Director of Operations. In this capacity, he was responsible for setting operational standards and performing due diligence for new acquisitions, mergers, hotel openings and management contracts. He participated actively in the growth years of Raffles International and was involved in the purchase of Raffles L'Ermitage in Los Angeles as well as the Swissotel acquisition. His operations experience was further enhanced by being part of Raffles takeover of the former Westin Stamford and Westin Plaza Hotels in Singapore.
Clarence holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Singapore. His previous appointments included being an accountant with Pontiac Marina and as an auditor at Price Waterhouse.
