Clarissa�s practice focuses on intellectual property matters. She counsels clients in the selection, use, registration, protection, enforcement, licensing and transfer of trademarks, service marks and domain names. She is experienced in the preparation and negotiation of technology and intellectual property licensing agreements, cooperative research and development agreements, marketing and distribution agreements, and intellectual property purchases and sales. In addition, Clarissa works closely with firm�s corporate attorneys in the preparation and negotiation of agreements addressing intellectual property issues in merger, acquisition, financing and other corporate transactions and in evaluating acquisition target intellectual property assets and potential liabilities. Previously, Clarissa served as assistant general counsel for the Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation (MCC), a cooperative research and development consortium with approximately 70 member companies, and as corporate counsel for a commercial software developer.
