A Director since January 2000, Dr. Nash manages the Office of Research and Development at the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute. As co-founder of ViroPharma Incorporated, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 1997 to 2002, and as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director from the company's inception in 1994 until August 2000. From 1983 until 1994 Dr. Nash served as Vice President, Infectious Disease and Tumor Biology at Schering-Plough Corporation, a pharmaceutical company. Dr. Nash also serves as a Director of the Burnham Institute, Accera Pharmaceuticals and NoCopy Incorporated. Dr. Nash has a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Lamar University, an M.S. in Microbiology and a Ph.D. in Microbial Genetics and Biochemistry from Colorado State University. |
