Claudia R.S. Schwartz is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Washington, D.C., office. She is a member of the Trial Department and the Global Trade & Cross Border Strategies Practice Group.
Before joining McDermott, Claudia served as a law clerk to the Honorable Francis M. Allegra of the United States Court of Federal Claims.
While in law school, Claudia was a judicial intern for the Honorable Ricardo M. Urbina of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. She served as Executive Editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law and President of the International Law Society. Additionally, Claudia placed first in the ABA's Representation in Mediation Competition, Mid-Atlantic Region, Spring 2004.
During her third year at Georgetown, Claudia participated in the CALS clinic, where she successfully represented asylum seekers in the United States Immigration Court in Baltimore, Maryland.
Claudia is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Claudia is a member of American Bar Association, Sections on Litigation and International Law, and the American Society of International Law.
