Manager, Project Engineering. Claudio is a double graduate from the University of British Columbia (UBC), with degrees in Chemistry (1989) and Chemical Engineering (1991). Having successfully worked on commercialising novel, clean technologies in sectors ranging from forestry and food processing to nanotechnology, fuel cells, catalysts, biofuels and water treatment, Claudio has obtained two patents and lectured throughout Canada, the US and Mexico. His work with bioethanol led to receiving the 2003 Canadian Institute of Energy (BC) R&D award. With Sonic, he is responsible for the day-to-day management of all engineering functions, from project management to technology R&D, focused on maximising opportunities for Sonic�s proprietary technology pipeline.
Claudio is extensively involved in the community as a law and ethics lecturer for the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC), the APEGBC Sustainability Committee, as well as led and served on a number of technical and governance task forces. He is a founding board member of the Cascadia Prosperity Forum, an industrial advisory board member with UBC, was a Board member of the Consulting Engineers of BC and a two-term elected APEGBC Councillor. He is active with the Make A Wish Foundation of BC and was a volunteer leader with the 2010 Olympic bid and the 2005 World Junior Hockey Championships.
