Claus Clausen was elected as a new director of Statoil in June 2006 and serves as an employee-elected representative to the board. He has been deputy leader of the Norwegian Society of Engineers (Nito) since 2003 and he headed its company branch in Stavanger from 1999-2006. A qualified engineer from Bergen College of Engineering, Mr Clausen joined Statoil in 1991. During his first years at Statoil he worked with training simulators and processes at Statoil�s Training Centre in Bergen. From 1997-2001 he worked on dynamic simulation in the technology entity in Stavanger. From 2001-04 he worked as process engineer onshore for Statfjord B operations. Mr Clausen now works in Exploration & Production Norway as specialist manager for technical process systems on the Statfjord field. |
