Cleve B. Tyler is a senior managing economist in LECG's Washington, DC office. Dr. Tyler has analyzed competition issues and damages issues in litigation matters before federal and state courts, in regulatory proceedings, and in merger investigations. His work includes evaluation of market definition and competitive effects using regression analysis and economic modeling, as well as estimation of damages. He has analyzed competitive and regulatory issues involving energy markets such as electric power sales in the western US, forward sales, entry conditions, and capacity markets. He has evaluated competition in many industries including: electricity, home appliances, medical devices, enterprise application software, application servers, billboard leases, avionics, and carbonated soft drinks. Dr. Tyler has developed or analyzed damages models in a range of industries and has conducted reasonable royalty analyses in patent infringement matters. He also has experience analyzing fraud and insider trading issues.
Dr. Tyler holds a PhD in economics from Clemson University specializing in industrial organization, finance, and public sector. He taught undergraduate economics classes at Clemson and has published and made presentations on competition issues. Dr. Tyler is a member of the AEA and ABA. |
