Cliff Jarrett is a Managing Director in the Charlotte, North Carolina office of Major, Lindsey & Africa. He focuses on the placement of partners and associates with law firms.
Prior to opening MLA�s Charlotte office, Cliff was a partner in the Charlotte office of Kennedy Covington where he practiced for 16 years. Cliff received his J.D., cum laude, from the Washington & Lee University School of Law in 1991 where he served on the editorial board of the Washington & Lee Law Review. In 1988, Cliff received his B.A. in economics with high honors from Guilford College and was a member of the varsity soccer team.
Cliff began his legal career as an associate in Kennedy Covington�s commercial litigation department and was elected to the partnership in 1998. Cliff�s practice included significant experience litigating intellectual property cases, including the trial of patent cases and construction disputes. While at Kennedy Covington, Cliff also played an integral role in the firm�s recruiting and associate mentoring programs. Cliff�s involvement in bar and community activities and his numerous relationships with attorneys throughout North and South Carolina give him an invaluable perspective into the law firms located in those two states.
Cliff resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. When not spending time with his wife, Amy, and their two children and cheering for the Carolina Panthers, Cliff enjoys long-distance running, music and golf. |
