Clifford W. Browning was born in Paris, Illinois. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, with distinction, in 1972 from Purdue University. He received a J.D. degree in 1978 from the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, where he was the Editor-In-Chief of the Indiana Law Review from 1977 to 1978. Mr. Browning was a Law Clerk to the Hon. James E. Noland, Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana from 1978 to 1980. Mr. Browning was an associate trial lawyer with Krieg DeVault LLP from 1980 to 1984. Before rejoining Krieg DeVault LLP in 2006, Mr. Browning practiced patent and trademark law for more than 21 years with a prominent patent and trademark law firm in Indianapolis, Indiana.
