Prior to entering the search practice Cliff Sink commenced his career in various segments of the information process industry. This was followed by working in marketplace areas as telecommunication/networking in voice, data, audio and video, i.e., multi-media. Cliff has occupied various key positions as marketing assignments to the executive vice presidential level, general management, chief executive officer and board of director memberships for companies including Nortel, North American Philips, General Electric, IBM and a venture capital funded company.
Upon departing from Nortel in the early eighties, Cliff founded CW Sink & Co., a retainer Executive Search firm that has evolved to be SWBi International. He is now one of the two Managing Directors at SWBi.
Cliff's search engagements have been domestic and international in all company/organization functions for individual contributors and management, up to the CEO and Board of Director level. Market segments include the hardware, software, consulting, systems integrators and semi-conductor businesses. Clients that have engaged Cliff have been large and small businesses, including venture capital funded emerging businesses. Searches have included positions such as marketing, sales, strategic/business planning, R&D, financial, mergers and acquisitions, systems integration, manufacturing/operations, human resources, network management, general management, consultant services, training and board of directors. Clients have also engaged Cliff for consulting assignments internal of their companie.
