Ms. O'Loughlin is an associate in McKee Nelson�s Business Litigation Group. She has handled a wide variety of complex commercial disputes with a particular emphasis on securities matters involving sophisticated financial instruments and transactions. Representative matters include:
Representing Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC in a multidistrict litigation involving securities backed by healthcare receivables arising out of the collapse of National Century Financial Enterprises.
Represented Lehman Brothers Finance S.A. in connection with the failure of certain counterparties to close an equity derivatives transaction.
Represented financial institutions in various regulatory matters involving products in the fixed income market.
Represented Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC in several adversary proceedings.
In November 2004, Ms. O'Loughlin received inMotion's John K. Geiger Award in recognition of her commitment to pro bono work. She also co-authored "Ethical Challenges in Class Actions: Absence of Specific Rules Means Applying Those Governing Individuals," New York Law Journal, February 13, 2001.
Ms. O'Loughlin served as an articles and notes editor of the St. John's University School of Law American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Federal Bar Council. |
