Senator Mack is a senior policy advisor in the public policy and government advocacy practice group at King & Spalding LLP. He served as a United States Senator from the state of Florida from January 1989 until January 2001. After leaving the Senate, he served as senior policy advisor in the government relations practice at Shaw Pittman from February 2001 until February 2005. Senator Mack was appointed by President George Bush to serve as chairman of the President's Advisory Panel on Tax Reform in January 2005. He is a member of the advisory committee to the director, National Institutes of Health, and chairman of the parent board of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. Senator Mack is also a director of Mutual of America Life Insurance Co., Darden Restaurants, EXACT Sciences Corporation and Moody's Corporation, and serves as trustee emeritus of the board of the American Cancer Society Foundation.
