Constance Taylor is an associate in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Her practice focuses on special education and student discipline. Ms. Taylor represents school districts at IEP team meetings, resolution sessions, mediations, due process hearings, and expulsion hearings. She is also skilled at investigating uniform complaints and preparing LEA decisions. She often works with a district to prepare board policies with regard to both discipline and special education. Ms. Taylor frequently trains districts on IDEA, special education discipline, Section 504 compliance, student suspension and expulsion, FERPA compliance, complaint investigation procedures, and dealing with difficult people. She began her legal career at various public interest organizations, such as Bet Tzedek, Public Counsel, and the Inner City Law Center.
