Mr. McCarthy is a managing director of Fairmount Partners. Previously, Mr. McCarthy was with Investec Inc. and its predecessor PMG Capital. As Head of Investec�s Corporate Finance Department, he assisted clients in the completion of private placements , leveraged buyouts and public offerings. He has advised clients in acquisitions and mergers involving companies in the United States, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, U.K., Ireland, Japan and Switzerland. Prior to Investec he spent three years as Managing Director with Laidlaw & Company, and five years with Kemper Securities/Bateman Eichler, Hill Richards as a Vice President specializing in mergers and acquisitions and public offerings of equity and debt, both in Los Angeles. He has significant experience in healthcare, cable and telecommunications, insurance, manufacturing and transportation. In addition, he was also Vice President of Woolcott & Company, a private investment bank based in New York, and practiced securities and general corporate law for the firm of Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan et al. Neal McCarthy previously served on the boards of directors of three public companies. He received his legal degree from Villanova University School of Law and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, where he was an Echols Scholar. He is a member of the Drug Information Association (DIA) and previously served as arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). |
