Courtney K. Warmington is an advisory director in Crowe & Dunlevy�s Labor and Employment Section. Since joining the group in 1999, Ms. Warmington has successfully represented management in cases brought by employees under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Oklahoma�s Workers� Compensation laws, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Warmington has worked with employers in dealing with administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission and the Oklahoma Department of Labor. Ms. Warmington is very involved in advising employers on all matters affecting the employment relationship, from recruiting and retention to termination issues. She also works with employers to evaluate existing policies and procedures and conduct management and employee training. Ms. Warmington has crafted employment policies for employee handbooks, including internet and e-mail policies and arbitration agreements. Ms. Warmington is also very active on the lecture circuit, speaking to other lawyers, high-level executives, human resource professionals, and clients about the various laws affecting the workplace. These speaking engagements have included discussions on the ADA, FMLA, ADEA, Title VII, FLSA, Oklahoma�s Workers� Compensation laws, issues surrounding misuse of company technology, such as e-mail and the internet, as well as strategies for keeping the workplace free of litigation. |
