Courtney co-founded EmergingMed in January 2000 after spending three years as a health services analyst and institutional sales representative with CIBC Oppenheimer. Prior to joining Oppenheimer, Courtney was co-founder and Vice President of Business Development & Information Systems with a multi-state Medicaid-focused HMO start-up. In addition to two other HMO start-ups, Courtney has worked for a variety of academic medical centers and county public health agencies/clinics where she cultivated expertise in the design and operation of efficient health care delivery systems for vulnerable populations. Courtney holds an M.B.A. (supplemented with extensive training through the School of Public Health) from the University of Washington as well as a B.S. in Biology from Yale University.
